We are seeking a Service Coordinator to join our San Jose, CA team.

Roles and Responsibilities

Service Scheduling – The Service Coordinator receives incoming calls for service of compressed air equipment and installation of prime equipment, and schedules all shop and field service repairs. They work with the Service Manager to coordinate the activities of the Service Department and maximize Service Technician utilization. The Service Coordinator serves as the information liaison between the Service Manager, Service Technicians, and customers – providing regular updates to customers regarding service that are in process.

Service Administration – The Service Coordinator enters scheduled service orders in the database and facilitates the closing of service orders approved for invoicing. They place orders for parts required to complete service orders, and work to expedite the delivery of these orders, as needed.

Customer Service: The Service Coordinator will contribute to positive company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image to customers. They perform all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer. The Service Coordinator can take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish and maintain communication with all people/employees considered necessary to get the job done.

They will be required to perform other duties as assigned.


  • High School Graduate or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant service coordination and/or dispatch experience required.
  • Experience in customer service strongly desired.
  • Must be able to work independently and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities with flexibility, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to handle all situations with a sense of urgency.
  • This role will require up to 10% overnight travel for training purposes.
