We are seeking an experienced Regional Service Sales Representative to join our team in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Business Development - Develop, lead and manage the CTS (service, parts and products) business in territory within the Central Region, USA including establishing goals for CTS product sales in accordance with Atlas Copco standards including service plan development and one to one growth.  Develop customer satisfaction by understanding the needs and expectations of our customers. Prepare related business development reports and conduct/present relevant market analysis. Control expenses, while maximizing Company assets, time, skills, and profit levels. Review business development strategies on a regular basis and recommend modifications and enhancements that will secure sales goals in line with growth targets. Represent the Company at trade shows and conferences.  Support the development of distributors.  Manage commercial terms and conditions so that Company’s interests are protected.  Travel as necessary to achieve the objectives of this position. Enhance division and Company reputation and brand image by consistently working to implement the Company’s core values of commitment, interaction, and innovation.

People Management - Define the mission for the CTS SSM team, parts sales managers and inside service sales support team as they relate to the Central Region targets.  Enhance the professional image for all colleagues at all times through personal actions and initiatives.  Achieve the results through management, monitoring and accountability of the team.

Personal Development  – Update job knowledge (for both products and sales/marketing strategies and skills) by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; networking; and participating in professional organizations.

Reporting  – Prepare internal reports and presentations as assigned relative to activity, lost orders, closings, follow-up, actions, strategies and performance against budget.  Report on special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity, including recommendations for product, service, pricing changes and evaluation of competitive developments.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience requirements

  • Four year degree in engineering, business, or marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in industrial sales or the compressed air industry.
  • Supervisory experience of a team a plus.
  • Must be self-directed.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have proven business analysis skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Up to 50% overnight travel required.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
