We are seeking a Technical Service Representative to join our team in Rock Hill, SC to provide support to our Distributors and customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the resolution of technical issues with regard to our Brand Portfolio Products.

Dedication to continual product improvement by communicating through the Brand Portfolio distribution network (Industrial or Professional – VS) and the Product Companies.  Escalate new quality issues to management.

Provide high quality communication, technical support, training and warranty claim processing for the related products. Report distribution center problems via Customer Care database immediately and follow up until resolution.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide technical support via phone, email, fax, etc. to external customers and distributors.

Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation to assist customer service and customers for the highest level of efficiency - FAQ, procedures, review of operating manual and spare part books.

Participate actively to cross training activities so that tech support team

Becomes more versatile in handling all types of product claims from compressor (piston/screw/scroll) to air treatment (dryer/filter…)

Be aware of ECBs and design changes in order to provide proper technical support to distributors and end users (pertaining to changes/supersession). 

Keep up to date with product evolution by attending product launches or technical training. Report training in the Competence portal.

Communicate with engineering as well as local vendors to resolve quality issues, and seek recovery of warrantable costs from both the product companies as well as local vendors.

Report warranty claims to warranty manager and directly handle minor claims within company policies.

Communicate all relevant product, technical service information to the customer and work together to sustain the product integrity.

Work to understand and utilize information and communication systems and tools, i.e. e-mail, BPCS, Microsoft Office software, etc…

Provide back-up support for other members of the technical support team in their absence as and when called upon to do so either by design or circumstance. Make sure phone status is back to “active” after each call.

Performs additional duties as assigned.


  • Must have a working knowledge of piston and/or rotary screw air compressors and/or air treatment.
  • Minimal 2 years of technical field service experience maintaining and repairing industrial compressors and dryers (Atlas Copco and other).
  • Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul and repair of a wide variety of compressors.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with an understanding of mechanical and electrical components and the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and relay logic. 
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Able to grasp new technologies quickly.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to conduct presentations and training to internal and external customers.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are a must.
